Hole 1 – Par 4 - 311 Yards – Stroke Index 15
Pro’s Tip:
A short but deceptively tricky opening hole. The fairway slopes gently down toward a large lake that guards the front of the green, making club selection and accuracy crucial. The safer route is down the left side, offering a better angle into the green, though it brings a strategically placed lone bunker into play.
Players face an early decision:
- Lay up short of the hazard and play a longer, controlled second shot;
- Go right of the bunker, leading to a more demanding angle for the approach;
- Or take the bold line directly over the bunker, risking the downslope but setting up a much easier second shot.
The green is undulating and can be tricky to read — the pin position will greatly influence your chances of walking away with a good start to your round.
